Nubi's obituary, memorial service & parade details

Jeanie Marie Mossa is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, author, and animal empath with over 30 years of experience providing holistic care to both human and animal patients. She is the founder of Four Paws Acupuncture, a premier veterinary holistic practice located on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Jeanie’s path to holistic medicine was uniquely inspired by her background in the arts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and previously worked as a glass artist, creating custom carved and etched glass art and jewelry. Her firsthand experience with the respiratory health challenges associated with glasswork sparked a deep interest in healing, leading her to earn a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.

Her dedication to veterinary holistic care was born out of love for her late German Shepherd, Merlin. By applying acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle modifications, Jeanie successfully enhanced Merlin's quality of life into his twilight years, helping him live to nearly 15. Merlin’s profound legacy remains the driving inspiration behind Four Paws Acupuncture.

Jeanie treats patients at the Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center in Danvers, offering specialized care for lung and respiratory disorders inspired by her own experience with asthma. For many years, her practice also focused deeply on female gynecological health, including uterine fibroids, endometriosis, irregular menses, and menopause.

Effective mid-September 2026, Jeanie will retire from providing in-person women's health treatments and is currently not accepting new acupuncture patients. However, she remains committed to women's wellness and will launch online and phone-based herbal consultations beginning in Fall 2026.

Her passion for healing extends to a deep reverence for the natural world. Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time in nature—whether she is hugging the trees of the Salem Common, laughing with the seagulls on Winter Island, or watching wildlife on Plum Island.

She is a dedicated supporter of the wolves at Wolf Hollow in Ipswich and continues to express her artistic talents by writing books and creating wearable art for her Etsy shop, Nature Realm Portal.
