Letters Needed to Save Question 3!

Dear Friends,

Once again, congratulations! Thanks to all of your hard work, along with the support of groups like the MSPCA and The Humane Society of the United States, on January 1 dog racing will end in our state forever.

However, our work is not yet done. As you know, a group of greyhound breeders is seeking to undermine the will of the voters on Question 3. Even though this group failed in their first attempt to extend greyhound racing earlier this year, we expect them to make another attempt in the fall.

Specifically, greyhound breeders are now trying to attach an extension of dog racing to a separate — and unrelated — bill about casino gambling. The details of this unrelated casino bill are being negotiated now on Beacon Hill, and a full debate is expected in the legislature before the end of the year.

To defeat this dangerous proposal, we need your immediate help. Please take a moment to send a polite e-mail to House Speaker Robert DeLeo right away, and tell him how important the Greyhound Protection Act is to you. Also, ask him to keep greyhound racing out of the debate on casinos.
